Warehouse/Production Runner

  • Pay: £12.21ph
  • Pay with FLT Licence: £13.29ph (if you have a forklift licence and experience)
  • Job Type: Full time – Temp to Perm (14-week trial period)
  • Four days a week: Mon to Thurs only (NO FRIDAYS) – 44 paid hours per week – 6am start 5.30pm finish

As a Production Runner you would the hands and feet of the production and warehousing team. The role of a runner is to ensure that the production process is running smoothly.

We are seeking a enthusiastic individual with effective communications skills to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the food production and warehouse environment by efficiently transporting food products from the warehouse to various locations of the production lines as directed. This position requires a positive, proactive individual who can work effectively on your own in a fast-paced setting and can also happily work as part of a team, with production and warehousing team, whilst adhering to food safety and quality standards.

You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the smooth operation of a production line, including fetching materials, delivering products between production lines, assisting with quality checks, managing inventory levels, running errands, and generally ensuring the production flow is maintained and continuously flowing by completing necessary tasks as needed.

  • Transport food items and supplies between different areas of the facility, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Experience with use of forklifts and a valid FLT licence would be beneficial but not essential
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of food production tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to comply with food safety regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety throughout all processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to support overall production goals and efficiency.

Experience

  • Candidate must be organisational and have clear communicational skills
  • Basic maths skills for inventory management and stock control.
  • Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety standards.
  • Previous experience in food production or a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the workplace.
