Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver

Location: Midsomer Norton
Job Type: Full Time, Temp to Perm
Shifts Available:

• Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
• Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

A well-established manufacturing business in Radstock is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join their busy warehouse team.

This is a varied role and would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on. While forklift operation forms part of the position, this is not solely a forklift driving role. The successful candidate will also be responsible for stock control, paperwork, stock checks and general warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

• Operating Counterbalance and Reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Moving stock and materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Booking goods in and goods out.
• Carrying out physical stock counts and cycle counts.
• Checking delivery notes, purchase orders and dispatch paperwork.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory systems.
• Investigating and reporting stock discrepancies.
• Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch.
• Supporting production teams with material replenishment.
• Completing warehouse documentation accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Assisting with manual handling and general warehouse duties as required.

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Reach Truck Licence or experience preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience completing warehouse paperwork and stock administration.
• Confident carrying out physical stock counts and inventory checks.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Computer literate.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Able to undertake manual handling duties when required.
