Hours of work: Rotating Shift work (Monday to Friday) Shorter day each Friday!

Pay: £13.86ph

Riverside Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing company. This permanent position offers the chance to be part of a team that values continuous training and development for its employees.

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Assistant to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the smooth operation within the warehouse through tasks such as materials management, inventory control, and order fulfilment. This role demands a strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to excel in a fast-paced setting.

The Job:

• Loading and unloading goods from lorries (manual handling), updating paperwork accordingly
• Labelling multiple items accurately and efficiently
• Work while adhering to strict time constraints
• Monitoring the quality of products
• Picking, packing/shrink wrapping and preparing for shipping
• Disposing of waste for recycling
• Equipment checks, maintenance, ensuring cleanliness throughout the warehouse and factory, identifying safety hazards and reporting accordingly.

About you:

• Lifting heavy objects is a part of the role so you must be comfortable with this
• Be able to work independently and work effectively with others
• You’ll need to have an excellent eye for detail, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• You need to be fast and accurate and able to work to targets and a desire to learn new skills
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety, site safety processes and procedures

Hours:

Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern – candidates must be able to work all three:

• 6am to 2pm (6am to 11.30am on Friday)
• 2pm to 10pm (11.30am to 5pm on Friday)
• 10pm to 6am (5pm to 10.30pm on Friday)

All breaks are paid for.
