I am seeking a SHEQ Coordinator to join a small site on the outskirts of Midsomer Norton. If you are interested in progressing with a career within Heath and Safety this may be the role to assist with growth.

This busy national organisation is a manufacturing company who works with an array of sectors within the construction supply chain. They offer and deliver a wide range of bespoke products and solutions for their customer base across the UK.

This varied role will involve both hands on and administering tasks. You will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining SHEQ management systems acting as a central figure for compliance and continuous improvement across these areas.

Job Title: SHEQ Coordinator

Location: Midsomer Norton

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £35,000.00 – £40,000.00 (+ bonus)

This position is a Monday to Friday 37.5 hour working week with a flexible working hours of either 7am – 3pm or 8am – 4pm. You must have your own vehicle due to the remote location of the site.

An IOSH is required however if you are committed with progressing within the role the company will invest in a NEBOSH qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all incidents and non-compliance are accurately recorded on the SHE system
  • Where required act as the point of contact for the SHE advisor for any site matters
  • Manage the SHE KPI’s
  • Ensure all H&S records are stored, maintained and reviewed in line the company’s requirements
  • Formulate action plans that will deliver reduced risks of injury
  • Provide accurate, timely and technical advice to colleagues
  • Measure and report improvements to the SHE systems
  • Arrange occupational health monitoring, including noise and air contamination in line with procedures
  • Ensure compliance to any environmental permits or licenses issued by enforcing authorities

To be considered:

  • IOSH qualification
  • Excellent communication skills including delivery of training packages to staff
  • Work in a highly organised fashion
  • Keen to progress
  • Be able to confidently liaise with other members of staff
