I am seeking a motivated Quality Technician on a permanent basis to join a global organisation based in Northampton.

This international automotive business operates a single UK site, who manufactures and supplies steel components that are a critical link within all suspension systems for commercial heavy goods vehicles and trailers

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that product activities meet established quality standards and specifications through rigorous inspection, testing, and documentation.

The role involves conducting product audits and inspections against engineering drawings and specifications, managing the calibration of measurement equipment, and supporting supplier quality processes. You will also assist with quality documentation, investigate customer concerns, perform paint inspections, and contribute to ongoing improvement projects. Training will be provided on specialist equipment, making this an excellent opportunity to develop technical quality engineering skills within a manufacturing environment.

Job Title: Quality Technician

Location: Wellingborough

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Mon to Thurs 8am – 4.30pm, Fri 8am – 1.30pm

Salary: £30,000.00

Key Requirements

• Experience within a quality or manufacturing environment, ideally automotive.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Familiarity with measuring equipment; CMM experience advantageous
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Proactive approach with keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
