I am seeking a Production Line Leader to join a food packaging manufacturer based near Chew Magna.

This small but busy food manufacturer produces sustainable packaging. The packaging has small measurements of dried ingredients prepared for recipe kits.

You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of a production line. Alongside supervising the production, you will play an important part by operating and maintaining machinery to meet production targets and quality standards. You will lead by example a small team of production staff ensuring compliance and strict health and safety regulations are adhered to.

This is a 40-hour 4 day working week – Monday to Thursday with every Friday off.

Please Note: This is not on a bus route, therefore having your own transport is essential

Hours:  6am – 5.30pm

Salary: £29,949.92 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Set up production machinery, ensuring it runs safely and efficiently
• Lead and supervise a small team
• Oversee the running of the production line and address any issues promptly
• Maintain and monitor quality standards
• Communicate with production management by continuously improving processes and procedures, and assist in reducing downtime events
• Monitor production processes to maintain quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of production activities and input data into the system

Requirements:

• Previous production experience preferably in the food sector
• Proven experience supervising a small team
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of strict health and safety procedures
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
