Process Technologist (Temporary – Maternity Cover)
Location: Wincanton, Somerset
Contract: Temporary to Fixed-Term (with potential to become permanent) Hours: To support with setting up and day trials/launches the hours will be Monday to Thursday, 6am to 2pm, Friday 6am to 1pm (39 hours). With occasional requirement to support the PM shift, 2pm to 10pm.

Our client is a trusted partner to the world’s leading food brands, creating innovative, sustainable, and great-tasting solutions. At our Wincanton site, we’re looking for a Process Technologist to support their R/&D team during an exciting period of product development.
What You’ll Do
- Review formulations to ensure smooth scale-up from development to production.
- Attend trials and pre-production runs to observe, advise, and document findings.
- Work closely with operational teams to confirm manufacturing instructions, equipment, and timings.
- Update factory systems and instructions from pre-production to launch.
- Ensure retention samples are available; prepare kitchen samples if needed.
- Complete handovers and ensure sign-off by Process, Operations, R\&D, and Quality teams.
- Support QAS updates and attend key planning and team meetings.

- Experience in food manufacturing or process technology.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and solve problems effectively.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
