Nursery Room Leader – Preschool Room
Location: Bath, Somerset
Contract: Full-time, Permanent – All Year Round
Hours: 36 hours per week, typically over 4 days (Mon–Fri) on a rolling rota
Shift Pattern: 7.30am to 5.30pm or 8am to 6pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch
Salary: Negotiable, circa salary (£28,080.00- £32,760.00), depending on experience and qualifications
About the Role
Our client, a large and friendly nursery based in Bath, is seeking an experienced Preschool Room Leader to join their growing team. You will lead the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring that all children are kept safe and receive rich, stimulating play experiences that support all areas of learning.
As a Room Leader, you will:
- Lead, support, and manage a small team of early years practitioners in the 24-place preschool room.
- Deliver a high-quality, play-based curriculum.
- Act as a key person for a group of children.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
- Oversee planning and provide guidance to your team to maintain an engaging and nurturing environment.
Requirements
- Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential).
- Proven experience in leading a team within an early year setting.
- Strong understanding of play-based curriculum planning.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- SEND experience is desirable.
