Job: Maintenance Technician (6am–2pm / 10am–6pm)

Salary: Up to £45k (DOE)

Location: Radstock

Hours: Monday–Friday + participation in out‑of‑hours duties and weekend cover as required

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to machine breakdowns, and support the installation, overhaul and repair of plant machinery and site facilities. This role is key in ensuring equipment remains safe, efficient, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct planned maintenance activities in line with the maintenance schedule.
• Support installation and movement of new and existing machinery.
• Overhaul, repair, and calibrate plant machinery and equipment.
• Support general building and facilities maintenance.
• Fault‑finding, testing, and adjustment/removal of components and fixtures.
• Maintain effective communication with management and relevant teams.
• Adhere to company health & safety and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical capability to lift and move heavy equipment as required.

Important Requirement

Candidates stating Electrical experience must hold recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent). Time‑served experience alone is not sufficient for the electrical aspect of this role.
