Job Description

I am seeking a Warehouse Operative with a forklift license to join a food packaging manufacturer based near Chew Magna.

This small but busy food manufacturer produces sustainable packaging. The packaging has small measurements of dried ingredients prepared for recipe kits.

You will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring production lines continue to run smoothly. You will be assisting with various warehouse duties by loading and unloading operations. A counterbalance license is required, if you have a bendi license this is beneficial.

This is a 42-hour working week across 4 days – Monday to Thursday with every Friday off.

Please Note: This is not on a bus route, therefore having your own transport is essential.

Hours:  6.30am – 5.30pm

Salary: £28,850.00 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Manoeuvring forklifts safely across the warehouse
• Load and unload containers, and other vehicles with raw materials and finished products
• Transporting goods to and from storage areas
• Ensure stock rotation is correct and track stock levels
• Assist with orders by picking items from storage and prepare for shipping
• Follow strict food safety and hygiene procedures

Requirements:

• Counterbalance and | or Bendi forklift license
• Previous experience working in a warehouse or factory environment ideally within the food sector
• Computer literate
• Good physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items
• Reliable and punctual
