Food Production Blending Operator
Location: Stanton Drew (near Chew Magna), BS39 – Due to the location in Stanton Drew (BS39), please confirm you have access to a private vehicle before applying, as the site is not accessible via bus or train
Salary: £14.59 per hour
Hours: 06:00 – 17:30 | Monday to Thursday (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity:
We are recruiting for a Blending Operator to join a leading specialist in the food and beverage industry at their state-of-the-art facility in Stanton Drew. This is a critical role within the production cycle, perfect for a reliable, hardworking individual looking for a stable permanent career with a highly desirable 4-day working week.
As a Blending Operator, you will be responsible for the precision mixing of dry ingredients, ensuring every batch meets the high standards our clients expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precision Blending: Accurately following recipes and batch sheets to weigh and combine raw ingredients.
- Machine Operation: Operating industrial mixing equipment and ensuring the smooth flow of product to the packing lines.
- Quality Assurance: Carrying out regular checks on texture, aroma, and consistency.
- Hygiene Excellence: Maintaining a “clean as you go” policy and performing thorough wash-downs between product changeovers to manage allergens.
- Inventory Control: Monitoring stock levels of raw materials and reporting any discrepancies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment is preferred, but candidates with strong manual handling experience and a “can-do” attitude will be considered.
- Numeracy: Basic math skills are essential for weighing ingredients and recording production data.
- Physical Fitness: This role involves manual handling, including lifting and maneuvering sacks of ingredients up to 25kg.
- Reliability: With a 6:00 am start in a rural location, own transport is essential as public transport is not available in this location.
- Attention to Detail: A high level of care is required to ensure recipe accuracy and food safety compliance.
