Job: Field Service Engineer
Location: Cheddar, Somerset
Hours: Monday to Friday (Standard 8am – 5pm) + Overtime + Call-Outs
Contract: Permanent
Overview:
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer for our client based in Cheddar. Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for problem-solving and customer service? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, providing on-site servicing, repairs, and installations across a range of customer locations. No two days are the same, with opportunities for overtime and career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out site visits for servicing, repairs, and installations.
- Completing all required documentation, including risk assessments and timesheets.
- Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
- Participating in a call-out rota (1 week in every 3) and being available for overtime.
- Supporting the Site Service Supervisor and Manager with additional tasks as needed.
Skills & Attributes:
- Proven experience in a field-based engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of electric motors, gearboxes, and pumps (essential).
- Familiarity with generators and PLCs (desirable).
- Electrical expertise, including three-phase systems and inverters.
- Mechanical and electrical engineering background.
- Confined space training (advantageous).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused attitude.
- Full UK driving licence (essential) – company vehicle provided.
