Job Title: Maintenance Operative (Trainee)

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Operative to join a busy production facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production by carrying out preventative maintenance and maintain the overall condition of the site.

This is an excellent opportunity for a colleague leaver or someone who is looking to start their journey within a maintenance role, however if you have a little maintenance experience within a production environment this is beneficial. This will be a hands-on role.

Training will be given, eventually you will be keeping operations running efficiently doing the responsibilities below.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production equipment and machinery
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and maintenance issues in a timely manner to minimise downtime
• Perform general repairs and maintenance across the production facility
• Support production teams by ensuring equipment remains safe and operational
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment, and site facilities
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete relevant documentation
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with Health & Safety regulations

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Operative, Production Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance, or similar role.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, warehouse, or production environment beneficial
• Basic knowledge of Mechanical knowledge beneficial
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within an industrial environment
• Flexible and proactive approach to work
