Job:                     Quality Engineer

Location:             Rotherham

Hours:                 Days (Monday to Thursday 7am – 3.30pm,  Friday 7am – 2.30pm)

Salary:                 £40kpa

Contract:           Permanent

Riverside Recruitment are partnering with a growing precision engineering business in Rotherham to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer.

The Role

Working closely with the Quality Manager and production teams, in this newly created role you will take ownership of quality activities including goods-in inspection, non-conformance and CAPA management, batch release, audits, supplier quality, and quality documentation. You will play a key role in driving compliance, improving processes, and supporting a right-first-time manufacturing culture.

What we are looking for:

• Experience within a medical device manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 13485 (essential)
• Experience managing CAPA, non-conformances and root cause investigations
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and quality documentation
• Knowledge of inspection methods, metrology equipment and CMM reports
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Experience conducting audits and driving continuous improvement initiatives

Desirable

• ERP/MRP systems experience
• Power BI knowledge
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
• Aerospace or precision engineering background
