Nursery Manager – Bath, Somerset

Full-Time | 36 Hours | 4 Days per Week
Salary from £40,000 (Negotiable DOE)

Riverside Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a well-established, high-performing nursery group to recruit an experienced Nursery Manager for a large, thriving setting.

This is an exciting opportunity to take over a busy, full-capacity nursery with a strong reputation and a well-established team, following an internal promotion.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for a manager who enjoys being actively involved within the nursery environment rather than office based.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading, motivating, and developing a large team of childcare professionals
• Maintaining and driving outstanding standards of care and early years education
• Supporting staff through coaching, mentoring, and professional development
• Building strong, positive relationships with parents and families
• Ensuring a clear, visible safeguarding culture embedded in daily practice
• Overseeing compliance with EYFS and regulatory requirements
• Supporting occupancy, enrolment, and ongoing nursery growth

The nursery benefits from a wider support structure, including a senior management team and dedicated support around finance and SEND.

About You

We’re looking for a confident and experienced leader who can step into a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

You will ideally have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Nursery Management position
• A strong track record of leading teams and improving practice
• A passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care
• Experience managing larger settings and teams
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A relevant childcare qualification (degree-level desirable but not essential)

• Large, established nursery with consistently high occupancy
• Team of approximately 40 staff
• Supporting over 200 children and families
• Strong existing leadership foundations, with long-standing previous management
