Software Development Manager Required

Are you an engaging Development Manager that defines companywide strategy? Have you managed cross functional, agile teams? Are you comfortable acting in a hands-on role?

If so, this could be the role for you. I’m seeking an energetic Software Development Manager to help further develop and mentor a talented internal software team.

You will be working on delivery of new software products, using current technologies and techniques in an Agile environment. This role will report to the Group Head of Developers and will play a key role in defining and implementing the development strategy.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

· Work closely with the Group Head of Developers and lead developers

· Produce and execute clear development plans to ensure that the team consistently delivers software to match business stakeholder and customer expectations

· Ensure conformance to and evolve the software development lifecycle and supporting processes from design to deployment, understanding best practices and trends in software development

· Work with appropriate members of the organisation to ensure timely delivery with minimal obstructions and impediments to the developers

· Regularly report KPI’s to the Group Head of Application Development and board of Directors

· Experience of modern software development practices, including continuous integration, automated testing, refactoring and automated deployment.

· Understanding and promotion of the secure code

· Understanding of .Net language and technologies

· Effectively manage technical debt, suggesting appropriate improvements and initiatives

· Strong knowledge of agile development practices (Kanban and or Scrum) with full lifecycle experience

· Passionate about sharing the benefits of agile development and the ability to mentor and develop the team and other key business stakeholders

· Thorough understanding of enterprise architecture and patterns principles and distributed systems

· Conduct timely annual performance reviews with the team, creating career development plans, overseeing the appropriate training and mentoring for the team

· Assist with team recruitment, mentoring and training of new team members

This is a remote position, however there may be a requirement to return to the office on a hybrid basis in the future. You will also be required to attend client/pre sales meeting when necessary.
