A new opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated Site Manager who will take care and pride in the appearance of a school environment based in Bath (Odd Down).

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate building and maintenance experience as well as being hands on, practical and motivated. You will be working closely with the Business Manager, taking ownership of the security, safety, general maintenance and premises compliance as well as communicating with contractors.

Location: Bath

Hours: Full time 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £29,777.00 – £31,364.00

This is a 37-hour working work Monday to Friday. Working hours are between 7.30am -6.30pm. No weekends or split shifts are required for this role. Holiday entitlement are 25 days + BH, this will rise to 30 days + BH after 5 years’ service.

Responsibilities:

· Fulfil all site duties and checks are in line with school guidance ensuring the site is safe and compliant

· Be the primary key holder and first point of contact for the alarms

· Maintain all compliance checks and records are updated and completed

· Monitor the performance of the cleaning staff

· Delegate tasks to outside contractors

· Laise with the grounds maintenance contractor ensuring school grounds are kept to high standard

· Responsible for the upkeep of the water mobility pool including chemical management

· Monitor the day-to-day budgets in regard to repairs and cleaning products

· To arrange and supervise repairs, manage maintenance contracts and improvement schemes, including appropriate involvement in obtaining quotes and arranging | monitoring work undertaken

· Attend regular meetings with the School Business Manager

· To ensure power tools, mechanical and access equipment are inspected before use and are PAT tested as required

This role will be suited to a site manager/supervisor that’s previously worked maintaining building/grounds within an education or care sector due to enhanced DBS checks.
