JOB:                    Recycling Operative

Location:            Westbury, Wiltshire

Hours of work:  Rotating Shift work (Monday to Friday)

Job type:            Temp to Perm

Pay:                     £13.55ph

Riverside Recruitment are recruiting for a Recycling Operative in a Warehouse environment to join our client, a long established and highly respected manufacturing company.  This is a permanent position and the successful candidate will work a 12 week temp to perm placement.  This is a perfect opportunity to join a company that invests time and continuous training to their staff.

The Job:

• Removing material waste containers from the factory for recycling
• Separating and recycling various waste types
• Operation of a baling machine
• Loading and unloading goods from lorries (manual handling), updating paperwork accordingly
• Stacking goods and moving them around in storage bays
• Labelling multiple items accurately and efficiently
• Picking, packing/shrink wrapping and preparing for shipping
• Completing paperwork for delivery notes and stock control
• Equipment checks, maintenance, ensuring cleanliness throughout the warehouse and factory, identifying safety hazards and reporting accordingly.

About you:

• Comfortable with lifting heavy objects and operating baling machines
• Previous experience in warehouse or recycling preferred
• Be able to work independently and work effectively with others
• Able to work under pressure and be pro-active
• You need to be fast and accurate and able to work to targets and a desire to learn new skills
• Solid understanding of Health Safety, site safety processes and procedures

Hours:

Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern – candidates must be able to work all three:

• 6am to 2pm (6am to 11.30am on Friday)
• 2pm to 10pm (11.30am to 5pm on Friday)
• 10pm to 6am (5pm to 10.30pm on Friday)

All breaks are paid for.
