JOB:                    Machine Shop Operator

Location:            Radstock

Hours:                Double days (early Friday Afternoon finish) see below for details.

Contract:            Permanent

Pay:                     £10.50 – £11.50 DOE + 12.5% Shift premium from 6pm – 10pm when on afternoon shift

The Company

Due to our clients continued success and growth, we are looking for CNC Machine Shop Operators, experienced preferred, to join their busy team manufacturing their cutting edge, bespoke products at their state of the art facility in Radstock.

The Role

Cutting and machining aluminium extrusions to exact dimensions using CNC profile machinery. Candidates will need to have the flexibility to move between departments to offer additional support when required.

You will be responsible for:

  • Daily maintenance of tools and machinery
  • Assisting with cutting operations as and when required
  • Recording machine performance data daily
  • Performing basic admin tasks using a computer
  • Completing the daily machining schedule
  • Ensuring the care and maintenance of all machinery
  • Assist with assembly/packing operations when required
  • Completing visual and measurement quality inspections

To be considered you will need to have / be

  • Experience with CNC Machinery and hand tools
  • The ability to read drawings
  • Strong mathematical understanding
  • Being able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Engineering qualification desirable but not essential
  • Working with metal cutting equipment

Shift Pattern

Mornings           6am – 2pm Monday to Friday

Afternoons        Monday 1.30pm – 10.00pm Tuesday to Thursday 1.00pm to 10.00pm and Fridays 1.00pm – 5pm
