Machine Operator

We are continuing to look for experienced machine operators or individuals whose CV demonstrates some kind of mechanical / engineering background (professional or personal).
Pay starts at £11.16ph (all breaks paid), and once fully trained you can look at a salary of £27k – £30k, with further opportunities for bonuses, overtime, progression and pay increases.
This is a factory / production based environment working a rotational treble shift basis. The shifts do not disrupt weekends, but you must be able to cover all shifts if you wish to apply.
All successful candidates will be given full training to operate, maintain and feed conversion finishing machines that produce paper and plastic packaging.
This is a fast-paced environment and may involve some heavy lifting.
The training can take up to 1 year but pay will increase as you progress through your training which commences within the first month.

The hours are Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern and all applicants must be able to cover all shifts:
· Mon to Thurs – 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am
· Fri – 6am-11.30am / 11.30am-5pm / 5pm-10.30pm
Working week is 37.5 hours (all breaks paid for) and overtime is payable thereafter.
To be considered your CV will need to demonstrate:
· Engineering skills / experience (in work or as a hobby) OR
· Previous machine operation and maintenance experience
· You are comfortable with and capable of using hand and power tools
· You have the ability to work to a high standard with good attention to detail in a fast paced demanding environment
· You are comfortable with heavy lifting as part of the role
