Job Title: Environment Health & Safety Manager

Location: Bathford, Bath

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Range of £30,000.00 – £54,000.00

Are you a passionate Environment Health & Safety individual? I am seeking a suitable candidate to implement policies ensuring all requirements are compliant to the companies’ guidelines, also build and develop relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to drive EHS and Fire Safety throughout the site.

This manufacturing company produces security paper for governed bodies, it’s used with security print to identify and authenticate a document as original. Due to the nature of the business, you will require an enhanced DBS check. You will be working closely to support the Operations Manager and participate in the performance development reviews across the board.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor EHS & Fire policies, systems, and procedures to meet legislative and operational movements.
  • Ensure risk assessments, environmental assessments and fire inspections are conducted and followed by the correct action
  • Advise management on developments on EHS and Fire legislation
  • Develop EHS and Fire standards and audit processes
  • Maintain and update the EHS manuals, procedures and supporting documentation and records along with ISO45001, ISO 14001 and PEFC certifications
  • Track the sites progress with EHS action plans
  • Set EHS and Fire safety objectives and accountabilities
  • Actively support the site Energy saving team
  • Represent the company by liaising with external organisations such as the HSE, EA and Fire Authorities, Insurers etc.

To be considered:

  • Certified Internal Auditor (IRCA or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a EHS & Fire role
  • H&S NEBOSH, and ideally IEMA certificate and NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Organisational skills
  • Work to minimal supervision
  • Build and maintain working relationships internally and externally
  • A desire to continuously improve the business
  • Fire management (Preferred)
  • Experience of Environmental permitting
  • Maintain ISO certified systems
