Annual Salary £31,299. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times and is regularly offered and is expected as often machines can only be released for repair in non-core hours.
This vacancy is working a standard 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, on a double-day shift pattern.
My Client based in in Midsomer Norton near Radstock, Bath is currently looking to recruit a on site Mechanical maintenance Engineer.
The successful Engineer will enjoy being hands on and will want to work for a large, established manufacturing company that has a low staff turnover with a very friendly and family orientated environment.
The role will involve working as part of a team of 5 engineers working on a number of old and new engineering manufacturing machines. You will be mainly covering breakdowns, machine modifications and project work which can include, install, move, build and manufacture.
The engineering department has excellent onsite facilities dedicated to supporting the factory production.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Role Responsibilities:
Knowledge of mechanical engineering of a wide range of equipment on a manufacturing line.
To maintain the kit, including Breakdowns, preventative maintenance, service and installations.
The ability to problem solve
Although primarily a mechanical, knowledge or experience of Electronics would be advantageous

This would be a perfect role for someone who has some experience in a fast-paced, engineering environment and would suit someone who can bring a strong understanding of Mechanical maintenance complete with the enthusiasm and drive to suggest creative ideas, the flexibility and ambition to think outside of the box and the commitment to quality, maintaining safe working practices and continuous improvement.
The shift pattern is rotational shifts of:
Week 1 Mon-Wed 6am-2pm, Thurs 6am-1pm & Fri 6am to 12.30pm.
Week 2 Mon-Wed 2pm-10pm, Thurs 1pm-8pm & Friday 12.30pm-7pm.
Holidays are 34 days including Bank Holidays and there is Xmas shutdown.
