Faye started her working life in the manufacturing trade and realised quickly that it did not suit her. She went back to night school re-taking numerous GCSEs and business orientated qualifications. She coaxed her employer at the time to give her a chance in the office.
From there she secured an administrative job in the MoD. With hard work, lots of training and the obtainment of professional qualifications, she secured a number of positions in HR departments in both Bath and Bristol. Being an HR manager, Faye spent 10 years interviewing and managing a broad spectrum of staff, from Psychologists and GPs in Nepal to Engineers and Technical staff in Rosyth.
This gave Faye invaluable experience of knowing how imperative it is to ensure selection is spot on. It wasn’t just who could do the job, it was also about how well they would integrate with the current team. With such extensive training, Faye was ideal to support Ian in Riverside Recruitment as the business changed and grew. Ensuring she gets to know the staff well and helps them on a personal level means that they are looked after and any problems are left at the door when they go to work.
